GalaXy Nonprofit visits the Canton's Farmers Market
Over the summer, GalaXy Nonprofit had the honor of having a stand at the Canton Farmers Market. We met a lot of amazing kids who were so excited to learn about STEM! Our volunteers taught many children about various physics concepts, from aerodynamics to Newton's three laws of motion.

The first project we carried out was building NASA's JPL paper straw rockets. Kids were taught the basics of propulsion that rockets go under during launch, and got to build and launch their very own paper rockets.

The second project was a balloon car that kids got to construct from a water bottle, balloon, straws, skewers, and bottle caps. This was a huge hit, where kids could experiment with how much air they blew into the balloon would affect how far the car would travel and race it with their friends.

Overall, we had a lot of kids who came to our stand, and left with a fun and interactive project that they got to build themselves, and learn a few cool things about the world of science.
