Letters to Another Me Event

On Saturday, October 17th, GalaXy STEM nonprofit collaborated with Justice by Junior’s

youth empowerment speakers event by conveying their message of STEM accessibility via a

station titled ‘Letters to another me’. This station allowed guests to write a letter to a child in a hospital and share encouraging thoughts and ideas. This activity allowed guests to give back to their community while simultaneously embodying GalaXy’s mission of providing children with learning opportunities by giving them the chance to connect with other young people with similar interests.

Guests were able to learn about what GalaXy is and contribute to the cause with the

option of donating through a QR code. The event was a great success and we were able to

produce a multitude of letters to send to local children’s hospitals in Connecticut.

Thank you to Lillia Ivaniv, the founder of GalaXy who helped make this event possible as well

as Rockfall Dekavon house for the use of their lovely space. I would also like to thank all

members of Justice by Juniors who helped create the poster and station - Kristal Lin, founder and president of GalaXy's Conneticut chapter.
